Spooky Makeup Ideas for Halloween
Spooky Makeup Ideas
Halloween is coming up pretty soon and there has been some spooky makeup ideas floating around. So many makeup artist and YouTubers are influencing the media right now with their amazingly realistic makeup tricks. The best thing is that they’re showing us how to do them. These are some of the best DIY Halloween makeup tricks for this upcoming season.
The Voodoo Doll
This exact look is given to us by YouTuber goldiestarling. She creates this extra creepy voodoo doll by painting her face brown and making sure that she’s covering all area of her face and neck that will be seen. Then she uses pieces of burlap to stencil in the fabrics texture. She used a lighter paint to get the details. Goldie also uses a lot of black eyeliner for all of the shaded areas. Using fine artist brushes helps with drawing on all of the little details that you see. Especially the buttons on the eyes. The eyes are topped off with bottom and top lashes for an even freakier effect. You will need adhesives for the the strings on her mouth for the stitched mouth look. If this is something you’d like to try out you can check out the video here.
Trippy Triple Vision
This look here is definitely trippy yet visually appealing. It’s cool, yet creepy, and kind of pretty all at the same time. This is one of my favorites. It’s so unique and well done. YouTuber Roxxasaurus does a really easy tutorial to show you hot it’s done. She literally draws her exact facial features on her face in a way that builds layers and gives a more 3D look. The key is to really recreate the makeup look you are already wearing. The key is to keep referring back to your real features for maximum results. Every lip, eye, and eyebrow should be the exact replica of your own. She even highlights the drawn on features. It’s completely surreal and refreshingly new for Halloween. The Severed Head
YouTuber Cosmobyhaley created a look for anyone that wants to have a cool Halloween makeup effect without having to apply makeup all over your face. You simply beat your face to capacity and focus on your neck for this awesome severed look. It’s perfect for anyone who didn’t have time or the funds to get a costume this year. The key is to create a really pretty face first. For the neck she uses the same lipliner that she uses on her lips to draw the shape of the severed cut. She then uses liquid lipstick to shade in all of the red parts. The pink comes from mixing in a little concealer to achieve the fleshy look. The detailing is done with a fine brush and highlighted with concealer to make it pop. All of the black shading is done with a black eyeshadow. The whole looked is topped off with Ben Nye dark fake blood at the bottom for that dippy bleeding effect.
