Is anyone else’s skin getting dry? Mine is starting to act funny, so I started using Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. It’s an overnight mask that hydrates your skin while you sleep, so that you wake up refreshed instead of dry and chapped. Winter is such a difficult time for hair and skin. Staying hydrated is so important right now. Especially if you’re trying to maintain a healthy skincare routine.
The active ingredient in this face mask is apricot. Apricots have healing properties and it’s very therapeutic. Apricot kernels are rich in fatty acids, which are very good for you inside and out. There’s Linoleic and Oleic infused in this mask. Both are omega-6 fatty acids. There’s also amazing vitamins for skin that was added to the ingredients as well such as, vitamins A and E.
Apricots were introduced after Alexander The Great brought them to Greece. They were quickly spread throughout Europe. The Greeks even made a drink using apricots called “ The Nectar Of The Gods” which became very popular. This drink was said to bring ageless immortality to anyone who would drink it.
The apricot kernel oils that are in this mask acts like a deep conditioner for the face. We all know how much a deep conditioner is appreciated in the winter time. There’s also avocado and Japanese seaweed, which repairs the skin and keeps it from getting dry. The Drink Up Face Mask is for dry/normal skin. My skin type is oily, but it still gets dry during this time. That’s why I decided to try this products out.
It’s really good so far. I can see a difference in my skin when I wake up. I look fresh faced and not so dry and tired like I usually look. I needed some assistance stat. What I also like about this product is the consistency of it. It’s thick, so I feel like it’s doing its job. I was pretty confident the first night I used it. It also rubs in smooth and clear and not too cloudy and greasy.
When I apply this mask I follow the directions given on the back. I wash my face with the same face wash that I use everyday and night. I also do my three step process when washing my face, which includes moisturizing, and treating my acne prone skin. That’s what works best for me to keep my skin clear. Then I take some of the Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask and massage it into my face. I do this right before going to bed.
Yes I do sleep with it on. The bottle doesn’t say you have to, but I do since it’s an overnight mask. That’s also the perfect time for healing your skin, because your body is resting and recovering while you sleep. It doesn’t mess up my sheets either. When I wake up I rinse my face and towel off any excess that’s left behind. I’ve been doing this twice a week as recommended. This is my third week and I like it so far. It’s a great start for getting and staying hydrated for winter.
