New Year’s Fashion Style Guide 2016
The New Year’s Fashion For Any Party
Sequins is a staple must have for the holidays. These little sparkly pieces of heaven are one of my favorite things to wear on New Years. This style never dies, or gets old. Classic gold sequins always does the trick, but if you want something different pick another bold color. Green, blues, and silvers are all a great choice as well. Sequins are perfect for that “all eyes on me” look, so if you like being the center of attention I saw go for this style.
Bold colors are also great for standing out. New Year’s Eve is all about fun, so I say the bolder the better. Bold purple, orange, and red tones are the best. These are all rich colors that makes anyone look amazing. You don’t have to do too much when wearing a bold tone. It doesn’t have to be paired with an equally bold pattern, so accessorizing with this style is key. I say go matchy matchy and coordinate the whole style in one bold color. You can also have fun and mix and match bold colors to your liking. Either way you’re prone to stand out.
I believe most people think of class first when they think of New Year’s Eve. Velvet is such a classy material when worn right. It kind of makes you look like old money. You can definitely have fun with velvet too. You can easily style mix and choose bold colors for your velvet ensemble. This is another fabric that you can style with pants, a dress, or even a romper. Velvet also feels good against your skin, while giving you a deep sultry look. It’s a great way to go edgy on New Years and still look chic.
Speaking of classy. Furs are so sophisticated and chic. If you’re not into fur you can always do faux fur. Faux fur is always trending and can be found anywhere. Topping off an outfit with a faux fur jacket takes it up 1000 notches. Don’t believe me? Throw one on over a cute outfit, then take it off. You’ll notice the difference immediately. Bringing in the new year with a fur coat is extremely classy. So get your Zsa Zsa Gabor on in your faux fur jacket.
