My New Year’s Fashion Resolution 2017
New Year’s Fashion Resolution For The New Year
If you saw Monday’s post then you know I’m on a New Year’s resolution journey. Today I’m going to share my New Year’s fashion resolution. New Year’s Eve made me feel bold, and daring, and ambitious. I’m ready to start wearing whatever I want unapologetically. I’m in the mood to be bold and take chances. That’s what fashion is all about. It’s what you feel and how you express. Here are my top fashion resolutions this year.
Dress How I Feel
I always want to be as open as possible with my fashion choices. I know fashion represents who I am, so I take that very seriously. This year I vow to always stay true to that. I’ve been feeling pretty fancy lately, so I’m keeping up with that theme no matter what. We tend to get anxieties about being too dressed up or not dressed up enough. I’m over it. Wear what you want to match how you’re feeling. It’s so therapeutic and you’ll begin to realize how good you look, because it’s authentic. No one can do you like you can. Pair that top with those pants, and those shoes, even if it’s not something you’re seeing people do. I also get a little cultural at times, I love headgear (scarves, headbands, etc….), and other fun accessories that adds flare to your look. I just want to mix Staying true to yourself is a great resolution for anyone. Go with whatever you’re feeling and do you. It doesn’t matter if no one understands it. What’s important is that you feel good. Plus when you’re just doing you, you’re most likely inspiring someone to do the same.
Try A New Look
There’s a few items I’ve been seeing lately that I feel I could probably style. I keep seeing clear block heel boots, and that’s honestly something I’ve thought about before. Along with maybe a new hair color for the summer. I wouldn’t try anything permanent. It would be a semi permanent or some sort of spray. I think trying new colors is fun but not at the cost of damaging your own hair, so no bleach for me. I want to choose a color I’ve never tried before and wear it for the summer. I’m not sure what I’m going to choose yet but I’m definitely giving something new a shot. I also want to be more open to trends. I tend to shy away from them, because I felt like it would take away from my personal style, but it doesn’t have to. I’m realizing I can still show off my personal style while being trendy.
Wear More Colors
Speaking of colors. As the weather gets warmer I’m thinking about wearing more colors to match it. I tend to wear deep earth tones, or black very often. I want to have a little more fun with my wardrobe. I’m putting away the black and dark colors in my wardrobe when everything warms up. I’m thinking red is going to be a good color this summer. I also want to wear yellow, pink, and lighter shades of green. I’m ready to start this year off on a good note. Full of positivity and good vibes. I think wearing more colors is a great way to express that.
Get A Pair Of Velvet Shoes
I have been dying to have a pair of velvet shoes. I don’t care what color they are. These shoes are on a trending streak. They’ve been trending consecutively for the past four seasons. There are velvet block heel strappy sandals, velvet sock booties, velvet combat boots, I could go on, but I think you all get where I’m going. Every style is so posh I love them all. I’m making it my mission to get a pair of velvet shoes. They may go on this list for this spring, or summer. Truthfully, I would wear a variety of velvet shoes all year. We’ll see how it goes.
