My Thoughts On The Election And What We Should Do About It
Let’s Talk About Donald Trump’s Election Win
Everyone were on the edge of their seats during the election this past November 8th. This was one of the most interesting presidential races of all time. With one of the most shocking turn outs. I don’t think anyone really believed Donald Trump would win. I don’t even think Donald Trump thought he would win.
Many people are upset over the results, and with good reason too. This election win will definitely affect us all. There are also people who may be a bit more than upset. I know there are Americans who are furious and, or terrified at the moment. In my honest opinion, we have to overcome both of those emotions.
The fear comes from the racist Trump supporters or “bullies” as I like to call them. They want to put fear in people’s hearts like a race war is about to erupt. Will people feel more open to being rude and disrespectful? Absolutely, but know that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. With that being said we should fear nothing or no one. We have not gone back in history and we need to realize that we have to move forward. What other choice do we have, but to do so? We have to stay positive.
There’s only one who can make all the decisions at the end of the day, and it’s not President Elect Donald Trump, Congress, or the Supreme Court.
Realizing who has the total control and say so at the end of the day helps heal the anger. When you realize that nothing happens that isn’t supposed to happen you will come to terms with it all. Know that there’s peace in this decision, because it was made by a higher power. We have to respect that at the end of the day. We have to stand tall as a united front, not be afraid, and continue to spread love instead of hate.
Let’s be the type of people that shows compassion and respect for others no matter who’s in office. Let’s still exercise our rights no matter how it makes anyone feel. Let’s also learn a valuable lesson about taking our government more seriously, because it clearly does matter.
We need to have faith in the most high and know that we will be OK no matter what. I hope everyone finds the courage to stand tall and keep their pride. Sure this is all easier said than done, but we get to where we need to be when we just simply work on it. America can still stand strong and united no matter who’s in office. We don’t have to change who we are or act any differently to adjust. If anything whoever feels negatively needs to adjust to all of the positive energy that’s about to flow from those of us that are picking ourselves up and filling ourselves with hope, love, and faith.
Besides our current leader President Obama, who is still in office till January is adamant about giving us hope as usual. He’s met with President Elect Donald Trump already and it seems like it went well. I’ve always thought that Trump’s actions during the presidential race was all a front. So in the words of President Obama, let’s be hopeful and give Donald Trump a chance, at least.
